1) Stay Safe Around Electricity
If water is near power points, switches or appliances, keep clear and do not touch anything electrical. If it’s safe, turn off power at the main switchboard.
2) Turn Off the Water
If you can safely access it, turn off the main water meter or the isolation valve to stop or slow the flow.
3) Protect Belongings
Move furniture, rugs and valuables away from the water if it’s safe to do so.
4) Avoid Using Fixtures
Don’t flush toilets, run taps or use appliances connected to the affected area until a plumber has checked it.

Emergency Water Leak Repair
A homeowner contacted A & Co Plumbing after receiving a massive water bill, which pointed to a significant hidden water leak beneath the home. After locating the issue, we worked through the available repair options with the homeowner.
A direct repair would have meant removing beautifully maintained slate flooring, cutting into the concrete slab and potentially disturbing the home's older sliding doors.
Rather than carrying out unnecessary invasive work, we worked with the homeowner to find a smarter solution. We redirected the water line around the problem area, allowing us to resolve the leak while preserving the existing flooring and features of the home.
The new water line was installed, connected and thoroughly tested to make sure everything was working as it should.
